About: Dr. Catherine Boutwell is a New York State licensed (021701) clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst in private practice in New York City. Dr. Boutwell is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medical Psychology in Psychiatry at Columbia University’s Center for Psychoanalytic Training and a supervising psychologist at The Motherhood Center of NY. She has previously been on faculty at The Women’s Program at Columbia University Medical Center.

Specialties: Developmental transitions across the lifespan with particular interest in peripartum mental health, trauma, attachment and relationships, infancy and early childhood, psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis.
